The Opportunity: Meghan Jackson Miller Psychological Services is looking for an experienced clinical supervisor to join our growing practice who shares our mission of making therapy accessible for all. In this role, you'll supervise 5 supervisees and carry a small caseload so you can stay connected to direct practice while mentoring emerging therapists.
Why This Role Matters: In the Bronx, where quality mental health care is hard to secure and waitlists are long, you'll help your supervisees work with clients facing real challenges like poverty, trauma and systemic barriers. They need a supervisor who gets it, who's been there and who can help them find their clinical voice without losing their humanity. They need someone who can teach them to navigate complex cases while maintaining hope and preventing burnout. 
What You'll Actually Do:
Guide and Develop:
  • Provide weekly individual and group supervision to graduate interns, LMSWs, and MHC-LPs.
  • Help clinicians navigate complex cases and crisis situations.
  • Lead case consultation meetings for team-based problem solving.
  • Support supervisees in finding their authentic therapeutic style.
  • Teach the balance between empathy and professional boundaries.

Ensure Quality Care:
  • Review and sign off on clinical documentation.
  • Monitor high-risk cases across your supervisees' caseloads.
  • Maintain ethical and clinical standards throughout the practice.
  • Guide treatment planning for challenging cases.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development planning.

Build Community:
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in supervisor meetings to discuss practice-wide issues.
  • Contribute to a culture where asking for help is strength, not weakness.
  • Support your team through the real challenges of community mental health.

The Clinical Piece:
  • Maintain a small caseload (5 hours) to stay connected to direct practice and model the work you're supervising.

Who You Are: You're an LCSW with at least 5 years of clinical experience who understands that supervising community mental health is different and that textbook interventions don't always translate to real life.
You believe supervision is teaching, mentoring and sometimes just being the person who says "that sounds really hard" when a clinician is struggling with a case. 
You can handle the administrative side (documentation, compliance, standards) without losing sight of why it matters - to protect clients and clinicians alike.
Requirements:
  • NYS LCSW certification.
  • Master's degree in Social Work.
  • 5+ years post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision.
  • Comfort with diverse populations and Medicaid clientele.
  • Strong documentation and administrative skills.

Valued Experience:
  • SIFI certification or experience supervising interns.
  • Specialized training in trauma, DBT, or OCD treatment.
  • Previous community mental health experience.
  • Experience supervising clinicians from diverse backgrounds.
