Role Description:

The SolarWinds Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining SolarWinds solutions to ensure comprehensive infrastructure monitoring and performance optimization across the enterprise. The role involves developing monitoring templates, dashboards, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve network and system issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain
    SolarWinds
    for enterprise-wide infrastructure monitoring.
  • Design and develop
    custom monitoring templates, dashboards, and alert systems

  • Monitor and analyze
    system performance metrics
    to identify potential issues and bottlenecks.
  • Generate
    detailed performance and capacity planning reports

  • Troubleshoot and resolve SolarWinds-related monitoring issues to ensure
    system reliability
    .
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate monitoring solutions with other IT systems and workflows.
  • Utilize
    PowerShell scripting
    to automate routine monitoring and management tasks.
  • Leverage
    ServiceNow ITOM
    for asset discovery, tracking, IP management, and reporting.

Technical Skills:

  • SolarWinds expertise
    — advanced configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • PowerShell scripting
    — automation of monitoring and reporting workflows.
  • Experience with
    ServiceNow ITOM module
    (discovery, IPAM, reporting).
  • Understanding of
    ITIL processes
    — Incident, Problem, Asset, and Change Management.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as
    Python
    or
    Bash
    (a plus).

  • Strong
    analytical and troubleshooting
    capabilities.
  • Excellent
