Position Summary

The IT Specialist provides technical support for The Wilson Group's office technology products and internal systems. This role combines help desk support for external clients, internal staff support, and occasional on-site installations to ensure proper setup, connectivity, and operation of copiers, printers, and related technology. The IT Specialist works closely with the operations, service, and warehouse teams to maintain efficient, reliable, and secure technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk support to external clients by answering calls and troubleshooting technology issues efficiently
  • Support internal staff by resolving computer, network, and technology-related questions
  • Assist the delivery team with remote or on-site support for small deliveries and equipment setups
  • Ensure proper installation and configuration of DCA (Device Control Application) on copiers, printers, and other devices
  • Support special technology projects, including security and system setups, as requested by management
  • Pre-configure and set up equipment before delivery to clients to minimize on-site setup time
  • Collaborate with service technicians to coordinate installations and troubleshooting at client sites
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and help desk resolutions
  • Stay current with updates, training, and best practices for supported office technology products and software
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department and organizational goals

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience supporting office technology, including copiers, printers, and networked devices
  • Knowledge of networking principles and basic IT troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Physical ability to lift and handle office technology when assisting with setups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Location

This position is based on site at the office, located at 147 Delta Dr, Pittsburgh, PA The role is expected to be in the office five days per week with occasional visits to client sites.
