Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Worker

The GSE Worker inspects, services, and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Duties include troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and ensuring equipment readiness for aircraft operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and test GSE using meters, tools, and technical manuals.
  • Service equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, and hydraulic fluids.
  • Disassemble, repair, clean, and reassemble components.
  • Maintain accurate equipment and maintenance records.
  • Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Operate and maintain GSE towing vehicles; support aircraft dispatch needs.
  • Uphold tool control, safety, and FOD prevention standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic hand tools and familiarity with USN Tool Control.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and technical documentation.
  • Ability to pass required employment screening.

Preferred:

  • Strong electrical and A/C–D/C troubleshooting skills.
  • CFC/HVAC certification or training.
  • Tire and wheel maintenance experience.
  • USN Aviation GSE training and NAMP familiarity.
  • Experience with gas, diesel, or turbine engines and transmissions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $32.57 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
