Lutheran Medical Group, a member of the Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN, has a NEW opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular team.

Details of Position:

  • Medical Group Employed Opportunity
  • Work with collaborative team of APPs and surgeons providing care for our high acuity cardiac, vascular, thoracic and heart failure patients
  • Mix of inpatient including ICU and step down, Outpatient & OR
  • Weekend coverage required with rotation with other APPs
  • Evening weekday call coverage required with overnight coverage provided by nocturnal APP team
  • Experienced candidates preferred but open to highly motivated new graduates

Lutheran Hospital is a 396-bed tertiary care facility that opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1904. Lutheran's areas of specialized care include northern Indiana's only heart and kidney transplant programs, an accredited bariatric surgery program, Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers, an accredited and commended community hospital cancer care program and a certified primary stroke center. In addition to transplantation, Lutheran's trailblazing history of heart care is evident through its accreditations as a heart failure institute and chest pain center. It has also achieved advanced certification from The Joint Commission for ventricular assist devices and was the first hospital in northern Indiana to perform transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Lutheran Children's Hospital teams with 68 pediatricians from across the region and state who practice in 20 areas of pediatric specialty.
