Temple Coffee – Cafe Team Member (Hazel Avenue Cafe)

Location: Fair Oaks, CA (Hazel Avenue Cafe)

Status: Full-Time and part time Positions Available

Compensation: Starting at $18/hour (plus tips)

About the Role

Temple Coffee is opening a brand-new café on Hazel Avenue in the Fair Oaks community, and we're looking for friendly, dependable coffee focused individuals to join our team This location will open in early 2026 and all candidates must agree to work in one of our current Sacramento or Folsom cafes to train for up to 3 months prior to the new cafe opening, to gain experience in outstanding guest service and all things coffee Training will begin in December of 2025.

This position will begin with register and guest service responsibilities, with opportunities to grow into barista training and beyond. Our Front of House team members play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and connected experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

What you'll do

● Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to every guest

● Learn and share information about Temple's coffees, menu items, and values

● Operate the register accurately and efficiently

● Support your team during busy service hours with a positive attitude

● Maintain cafe cleanliness and uphold Temple's quality standards

● Assist with restocking, product organization, and presentation

What We're Looking For

● Must have a passion for coffee and quality

● Ability to thrive as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment

● Must have and maintain open availability for at least three full days each week from 5:30am-11pm and must be available to work nights, weekends and applicable holidays

● Must be available and willing to train in an existing Temple cafe in Sacramento or Folsom to train for multiple months prior to the Hazel Avenue cafe opening. At that time you will transfer to the new location as your home cafe.

● Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute for all comprehensive new hire, barista, and continued education training at our Sacramento training facility.
