Landscape Installer – Job Overview

The Landscape Installer is responsible for completing small-scale landscape installations sold directly through the nursery. This role focuses on high-quality planting work, excellent customer interaction, and efficient daily operations. The Installer will load their own materials, drive the company install truck to each job site, communicate with customers upon arrival, and ensure each installation meets Troy's Tropics' standards for quality and professionalism. This position plays an important role in representing the nursery at customers' homes and providing a smooth, friendly installation experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load all required plant material and supplies into the install truck each morning.
  • Safely operate and drive the Troy's Tropics install truck to daily job sites.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival to clarify planting locations and confirm installation details.
  • Install all plant material professionally and according to proper horticultural practices.
  • Ensure job sites are clean, tidy, and left better than you found them.
  • Maintain a positive, courteous attitude with customers at all times.
  • Return to the nursery at the end of each day and clean out the install truck.
  • Report any issues, delays, or customer concerns to management promptly.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
  • Landscape installation experience (required).
  • Basic plant knowledge and ability to identify common Florida landscape plants (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs, work outdoors in Florida weather, and perform physical labor.
  • Strong communication skills and professional customer service demeanor.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
