Position: Business Systems Analyst with EPIC

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract

Description:

  • We seek an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in healthcare and EPIC systems to drive the success of digital transformation initiatives across clinical and operational environments. The ideal candidate brings over a decade of expertise in gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing efficient workflows, and ensuring seamless integration of EPIC modules with enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to capture, validate, and document functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and EPIC configuration recommendations
  • Lead workflow assessments, gap analysis, and optimization efforts for EPIC systems
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Support EPIC implementations, upgrades, testing cycles, and end-user training
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, data governance, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PHI)
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide production support to ensure continuity of care operations

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience in the healthcare domain
  • Hands-on experience with EPIC modules such as Care Management, Claims, Tapestry, or HIM
  • Proven capabilities in requirements engineering, process mapping, and Agile delivery frameworks
  • Strong communication superpowers with the ability to collaborate across clinical and technical audiences
  • Working knowledge of healthcare payer or provider workflows, data models, and interoperability standards (HL7/FHIR)
