Job Title: Call Center Representative

Job Description

As a Call Center Representative, you will serve as a Remote Gate Agent, supporting thousands of drivers nationwide. Utilizing two-way audio/video communication, you will verify and identify necessary specifications on trucks and processes, coordinating and communicating updates on the arrival, loading, unloading, and departure at warehouses and distribution centers. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a high sense of urgency and technical savvy. You will handle all gate operations remotely, allowing onsite associates to focus on other essential tasks. You will interact with approximately 200 drivers daily, necessitating clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Remote Gate Agent using two-way audio/video communication.
• Coordinate and communicate updates regarding arrival, loading, unloading, and departure processes.
• Support gate operations to enable onsite associates to focus on daily operations.
• Engage with approximately 200 drivers daily, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Maintain a high level of detail orientation in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Great customer skills and awareness.
• Technical savvy, particularly in logistics and intermodal operations.
• Experience in call center or inbound call environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of high-volume customer support experience, preferably in a call center.
• Strong job tenure and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in retail customer service, such as Starbucks or restaurant industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and keyboard shortcuts.
• Ability to multi-task, learn quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site work five days a week. Training will be conducted from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for three weeks, with the first day being 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Post-training schedule will be from Friday to Tuesday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with Wednesday and Thursday off. Mandatory overtime is expected during peak seasons (October to January), which will include a sixth workday and 10-hour shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $21.00/hr.
