DCI Inc. is currently seeking a Janitor to join their team who:

Primary Objective:

To keep the building clean, safe, and in good condition for its occupants.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; clean walls, windows, and other surfaces; and disinfect frequently touched areas.
  • Restroom Maintenance: ensure they are stocked with supplies like paper towels and soap.
  • Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas.
  • Outdoor Groundskeeping: Maintain outdoor spaces by removing litter, clearing snow, and maintaining walkways.
  • Minor Repairs: Perform simple repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or unclogging drains, and report major issues to a supervisor.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and other products as needed.
  • Deliveries: Make parts deliveries and pickup needed supply items.
  • Safety: Change filters & clean HVAC units and check forklift fluids.
  • Perform associated duties or related work as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able to complete a job related physical, including DOT to be able to drive the company vehicle.
  • Have a current driver's license with a clean record for at least the past 5 years.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift objects, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in cleaning and identifying maintenance issues.
  • Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic Maintenance Knowledge: Familiarity with basic building repairs and cleaning equipment.
  • Safety Awareness: Ability to handle cleaning supplies and equipment safely.
