Overview

The PLC Programmer/Engineer at Thermal Economy is responsible for PLC/HMI (Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces) logic and PLC system design for electrical control systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and extensive experience in automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI for industrial automation applications.
  • Develop and implement interfaces to other systems using PLC data files, MODBUS and BACNET is a plus.
  • Evaluate and select electrical components control system components
  • Provide technical support and guidance during installation, commissioning, post commissioning (customer support), and occasional remote support to customers for troubleshooting of electrical control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in electrical design and programming.
  • Maintain detailed records of PLC/HMI programs.
  • Develop control system sequence of operations.
  • Develop Factory Acceptance Procedure documents
  • Stay updated with advancements in PLC, HMI, and automation technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in PLC programming and HMI development
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs
  • Experience in HMI software development and interface programming.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations (UL, NFPA, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $85, $110,000.00 per year
