Seeking a motivated individual who is a qualified candidate for our full-time Maintenance Supervisor position to join our team at Ivy Knoll, an apartment community on the north side of Indianapolis with 156 units.

In this position, you will work under the general supervision of the Community Manager and will be responsible for ensuring all the property's facilities are in good working order. The facilities should meet Muesing Management's predetermined standards designed to ensure that our community's services meet and/or exceed our resident's expectations.

What your day might look like:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of the community meet the company's established standards for safety, appearance, and operation within the budgeted financial goals.
  • Managing an ongoing community preventative maintenance and improvement program.
  • Managing the inventory of ready apartments to support the community's marketing and leasing efforts.
  • Scheduling contractors, making available apartments ready for move-in, and inspecting ready apartments for move-in quality.
  • Completing all resident work orders/requests in the time and frame and quality standards set forth by Management
  • Managing and directing maintenance/grounds team members.
  • Supporting and guiding the training/professional development of Maintenance Team Members
  • Maintaining records of Maintenance performed in all units

Qualities we hope you have:

  • A minimum of 1-years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor working in a multi-family setting (Preferred) will train an experienced Maintenance Technician.
  • Candidate must be proficient in the following: HVAC repair and EPA certified (minimum Type II required), all other aspects of apartment and building maintenance
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills
  • A positive customer service attitude
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize wisely
  • Must have reliable transportation and own tools.
  • Must have the ability to be on-call
  • May be required to work at an apartment community other than primary assignment (per request of management)

Physical Demands:

· Ability to climb stairs while pulling an appliance dolly

· Ability to easily ascend and descend a ladder

· Ability to lift/carry 75lbs

· Ability to consistently stoop, kneel, and bend over.
