Weekend Cashier and Hostess

Responsibilities:

- Warmly greet customers who come in the door

- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system

- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and friendly experience for all customers

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including the dining area, restroom, and workstations

- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling and storage of food and beverage items as needed

- Upsell additional products or menu items to customers to increase sales

Experience:

- At least one year of previous experience in the food industry or as a cashier/hostess is required, as we are a fast-paced cafe/restaurant

- Familiarity with Toast POS and ToastTables is a plus

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Ability to learn the menu within 30 days of being hired to take orders/answer customer questions accurately

  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient service

  • Ability to accurately run a waitlist and quote guests' wait times

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old, as we do serve alcohol

This is a part-time position that requires the following availability Saturday and Sundays 9 AM-5 PM

Must possess a positive attitude and always be willing to learn
