Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse distribution processes. This role requires the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, familiarity with warehouse management systems, RF scanners, and general computer experience. Experience in customer service, and attention to detail is highly valued. The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining safety and accuracy throughout all shipping activities. This person is often the first point of contact for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Greet drivers and visitors and direct them to the appropriate area, including checking trucks in and out.
- Manage order account - including creating, maintaining, and communication of orders.
- Create accurate shipping documents to accompany orders shipping out
- Entering, maintaining, and revising orders in the tracking system as needed
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner
- Provide clerical support such as data entry, filing, and document preparation
- Utilize basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities during order processing
- Support warehouse distribution activities by efficiently loading trucks and managing warehouse flow
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and compliant with safety and food safety protocols
Requirements
- Prior experience in office administration, or shipping & receiving is preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order entry
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and carriers
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Warehouse office experience is a plus

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
