Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Seeking an experienced and qualified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment. Under limited supervision, this role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery to ensure continuous production and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs under the guidance of the Chief Engineer.
• Perform inspections, overhauls, and equipment repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts inventories, and service records.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to determine repair needs.
• Support the Chief Engineer with scheduling, task assignments, and quality control.
• Review technical materials and coordinate with suppliers to improve maintenance methods.
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet OSHA safety standards and company policies.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics on repair techniques and safe equipment operation.
• Monitor and maintain air, noise, and pollution control systems in compliance with regulations.
• Perform additional maintenance or special assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field (required).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting using electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards.
• Excellent record-keeping, organization, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in teams.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Regular use of fine motor skills and close visual focus.
• Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced industrial environment.
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a commercial laundry facility and occasionally in an office environment. Safety, teamwork, and precision are essential.
