Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your ability to upsell menu items and provide recommendations will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcome.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
  • Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the dining experience.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.
  • Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable.
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions.
  • Culinary experience or knowledge of the food industry is a plus.
