Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Engineer, based in Miami, FL. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing on site visits during construction, accessing areas of construction work via suspended swing stage scaffold, quantification of the completed construction, tracking of completed construction on excel spreadsheets, prepare written field reports summarizing site observations, preparing supplemental details in AUTOCAD, conducting structural analysis, performing engineering calculations for concrete and steel, preparation of construction bidding documents. Responsibilities also include engaging in forensic evaluations, Leak investigations, roofing consultation, peer reviews. A solid background in structural concrete design is required, collaborating with clients and project teams during construction and project management.

Qualifications

  • Passed the Fundamentals of engineering Exam.
  • Getting ready to or having passed the Florida Professional Engineering (PE) exam.
  • Expertise in structural engineering and civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create accurate designs and technical drawings
  • Experience in construction project management.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and capability to manage multiple projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred
  • Experience in building restoration, forensic evaluations, and construction project management is a plus.
