Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and professional Assistant Manager to help lead our busy day spa in Lynnwood, WA. This position is ideal for someone passionate about guest service, team development, and operational excellence.

All Assistant Manager candidates begin with a Front Desk Receptionist Training Period to master our service flow, client communication, and spa systems. This training typically lasts 3–4 months, but may be shorter or longer depending on the individual's learning curve. Pay is $25/hour during training and increases to $30/hour once front desk duties are fully mastered and the candidate transitions to the Assistant Manager role.

If the management team determines that the Assistant Manager role is not the right fit, the employee will have the option to continue as a Front Desk Receptionist.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Client Experience

  • Welcome and check in clients with professionalism and warmth.
  • Manage appointments, scheduling, and check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Address client questions, concerns, and service adjustments with courtesy.
  • Promote spa services, memberships, and retail products based on client needs.

Operations & Administration

  • Support the Spa Manager with day-to-day operations and staff oversight.
  • Manage staff scheduling, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours.
  • Oversee service modifications and communicate changes effectively to staff.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of products, linens, and supplies.
  • Ensure smooth operations by upholding spa standards and company policies.
  • Assist with cash handling, reporting, and administrative documentation.

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Contribute to sales growth through service promotions, upselling, and client retention programs.
  • Support marketing initiatives and seasonal promotions to attract new clients.
  • Track key performance metrics and help develop strategies to achieve sales and service goals.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Train and support front desk and service staff to ensure consistent performance.
  • Motivate team members and lead by example in professionalism and customer service.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction and excellence.

Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a spa, salon, or hospitality environment (supervisory experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and POS software (spa management systems preferred).
  • Commitment to providing outstanding guest service.
  • Availability for flexible full-time schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
