The Supervisor of SEM is a strategic and executional lead responsible for overseeing SEM strategy, activation, and optimization across multiple life sciences and pharmaceutical brands. This role blends hands-on platform management with client strategy, data interpretation, and people leadership.
Working closely with the Director of SEM and cross-functional teams, the Supervisor guides the development of paid search campaigns that deliver measurable outcomes, working closely with cross-functional partners to align SEM with omnichannel media strategies. In addition to owning day-to-day campaign performance, the Supervisor oversees 1–2 direct reports, fostering their professional growth and ensuring operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead SEM strategy development and execution across assigned client brands.
- Oversee campaign builds, QA, launches, pacing, and optimization in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Search Ads 360.
- Develop keyword and audience strategies, competitive blunting, ad copy testing frameworks, and optimization roadmaps.
- Translate complex performance data into actionable insights and present results and recommendations to clients.
- Partner with analytics to define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and custom dashboards.
- Manage 1–2 direct reports, providing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Collaborate with creative, media, and account teams to ensure SEM is fully integrated into omnichannel programs.
- Stay ahead of platform updates, beta opportunities, and emerging trends, sharing innovations with the broader team.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with MLR/PRC processes across all SEM deliverables.
- Support the Director of SEM in refining processes, developing best practices, and evolving the agency's SEM capability.
About You
- QUALIFICATIONS
- 4–6yearsof paid search experience, including hands-on campaign management and
- client-facingleadership.
- Proven ability to develop and execute SEM strategies that drive measurable ROI.
- Deep knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Search Ads 360, and analytics
- platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.).
- Experience managing, mentoring, or coaching team members.
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling insights.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising experience strongly preferred.
- Google Ads and SA360 certification required; Bing Ads certification a plus.
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
