Rock View Recovery is seeking compassionate, motivated, and professional Resident Support Specialists to join our clinical team at our boutique residential treatment center. In this vital role, you will support clients in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders by fostering a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. You will work closely with clinical and medical staff to provide trauma-informed care, model healthy behaviors, and help residents build life skills, accountability, and personal growth.

As a Resident Support Specialist, you are not just "staff" — you are a mentor, role model, advocate, and frontline leader in our recovery community.

Core ResponsibilitiesClient Care & Support

  • Provide direct support to residents with daily routines such as waking, hygiene reminders, meals, medication times, and bedtime routines.
  • Ensure a calm, supportive, and emotionally safe environment aligned with trauma-informed practices.
  • Observe, document, and report changes in mood, behavior, or physical condition to clinical or medical staff.
  • Support residents in developing life skills, accountability, respectful communication, and emotional regulation.

Safety & Facility Management

  • Perform house rounds, room checks, and safety observations in accordance with Rock View Recovery protocols.
  • Monitor for high-risk behaviors, contraband, elopement risks, or self-harm concerns.
  • Assist with fire drills, emergency procedures, and incident reports.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in common areas, ensure chore completion, and support residents in caring for their living spaces.

Documentation & Communication

  • Accurately document shift reports, behavioral observations, incident reports, and client progress in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Communicate professionally with clinical staff, case managers, nurses, and leadership to support individualized care plans.
  • Uphold confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.

Transportation & Engagement

  • Safely drive residents to meetings, medical appointments, community outings, or recovery-based activities (using company vehicles).
  • Lead or participate in group activities such as mindfulness groups, exercise, life-skills classes, support groups, recreational outings, or 12-step meetings (if applicable).
  • Encourage engagement, participation, and respectful community living.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week
