Job Summary:
Responsible for the development and execution of analyses that address specific client issues or initiatives. Proactively identify trends and issues utilizing a range of analytic techniques and tools. Liaise with client services, network development, and operational personnel to ensure the appropriateness of underlying assumptions and interpretations. Provide expertise and direction as it relates to client analytics solutions/services both internally and externally.
In this role, you will leverage data and analytical tools to uncover actionable insights that drive business decision-making. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and creating reports and dashboards that communicate key findings to stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide recommendations, and support organizational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers data analysis processes to generate actionable insights for business leaders.
- Coordinates somewhat complex projects to ensure timelines and deliverables align with organizational goals.
- Analyzes somewhat complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business outcomes.
- Develops somewhat complex reports and dashboards using BI tools to support decision-making processes.
- Implements data solutions by applying knowledge of business operations and data tools to address key challenges.
- Evaluates stakeholder requirements and recommends improvements in data reporting or analysis processes.
- Communicates findings effectively to influence decision-making and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Recommends best practices to junior analysts to improve data analysis and visualization processes.
- Documents processes and conducts routine training for team members on tools and methodologies.
- Develop and deliver client analytics and reporting activities, support client relationship building, and overall project management of externally focused analytic deliverables.
- Develop and refine methodologies, tools and templates to allow for the successful execution of analytic deliverables. Support the ongoing development of the Advanced Analytics group capabilities by sharing innovative approaches and solutions with the broader team
- Participate in various activities to support the growth of the Advanced Analytics group including:
- Development of content and participating in the delivery of training to the Account Management function
- Development and maintenance of appropriate documentation regarding analytic approaches, metric definitions, etc.
- Other Advanced Analytics group projects as directed by Advanced Analytics leadership.

- Analytical Skills – Analyzing and synthesizing information to understand issues and identify options. Able to translate business requirements into reporting/analysis requirements. Ability to utilize / expand prospective business models.
- Technical Abilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and data manipulation. Familiarity with the broader Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is beneficial. Experience with Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) or comparable Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) would be a significant plus. Familiarity with Python for automation initiatives also beneficial.

Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in analytics/reporting.
- Successful candidates may bring experience from an agency, client, or consulting environment.
- Bachelor's degree required.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
