Start Now. Play Forever. Ace Pickleball Club, LLC (APC) is a fast-growing indoor pickleball franchise. Each club features between 8-16 courts in a climate-controlled environment. Using on-court technology for instant replay and live streaming to provide the ultimate pickleball playing experience. Our mission is to expand the sport of pickleball by inspiring new players and providing enthusiasts of all skill levels access to a welcoming community, optimal playing conditions, and opportunities for growth. Members of all ages and skill levels can visit the Ace Pickleball Club location to participate in a variety of activities including daily open play, clinics, leagues, tournaments, social and glow-in-the-dark events. The Team Lead will report to the Assistant and General Managers. This person must be driven, approachable, and detail oriented. They lead by example, foster a culture of teamwork, and can motivate the team. They inherently place value on knowing people's names and makes friends without trying. They work to develop the community and foster an optimal playing experience.
What You'll Do
As a Team Lead, you'll be the on-duty captain ensuring each shift runs smoothly and members have an unforgettable experience. You'll:
- Open and close the club, following detailed checklists and security procedures.
- Lead and support Member Specialists during your shift, including coaching on POS functions, guest interactions, and sales techniques.
- Monitor club operations during your shift ("MOD duties") and delegate tasks to ensure smooth play and optimal staffing.
- Respond to member issues, incidents, and account requests, including cancellations, refunds, and policy enforcement.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and equipment readiness (courts, paddles, ball machines, and other facilities)
- Ensure an optimal playing experience by managing court assignments, signage, and enforcing rules in a member-friendly way.
- Conduct quick team huddles to align staff, reinforce best practices, and provide feedback on guest interactions.
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner in person and on the phone.
- Effectively educate guests on the Membership option
- Enforce waiver and Membership agreement policies.
- Pay close attention to the court area and interact with guests.
- Perform general maintenance and custodial duties as required.
- Complete sales transactions and handle cash
- Stock concessions and inventory
- Supports facilitation of regular tournaments, league play and other events
- Provides New Member Orientation and tours to new guests.
- Ensures courts are running smoothly, pathways are clear, club is clean, and equipment is organized.
- Work with Guests to use the in-club tech to support their playing experience.
- Conducts maintenance, cleaning tasks and equipment storage and organization.
- Uses the POS to support guests signing waivers and making purchases.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in a team lead, shift lead, or key holder role (preferred)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable with technology (POS/admin systems)
- A positive, energetic attitude — you'll set the tone for the team.
- CPR certification preferred but not required.
- Passion for pickleball (bonus if you play)
