Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, as well as the ability to operate various types of equipment. Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks.
  • Operate order pickers and cranes to retrieve products from storage locations.
  • Accurately pick orders based on shipping requirements using RF scanners.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment within the warehouse.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Perform regular inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution and materials handling.
  • Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
  • Experience with shipping & receiving processes is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of safety standards including OSHA regulations is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 per hour
