About The Role
Senior Field Engineer
The Senior Field Engineer is responsible for supporting the Superintendent's by leading the management of subcontractors, promoting safety and overseeing complex project tasks.
Position Logistics
- Work Location: Project locations located within the Twin Cities, MN area.
- Work Environment: On-Site
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, hours vary by project
- Work Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Position Responsibilities
Scheduling and Logistics
- Manage project schedules and onsite labor allocation.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust timelines as needed.
- Assist in scheduling and tracking of deliveries
Site Support
- Assist with carpentry tasks as assigned.
- Address project risks and develop solutions.
- Lead punch list preparation and completion.
- Conduct final inspections to ensure project quality.
- Conduct safety orientations and participate in construction coordination meetings, along with associated documentation.
Site Documentation and Reporting
- Direct documentation of RFIs, daily reports, project photos, and safety records.
- Manage SDS documentation, safety plans, permits, and compliance.
- Report on cost history and T&M quantities.
- Manage final as-builts and closeout documents.
Site Safety
- Attend all required safety trainings and meetings.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.
- Tasks as requested by lead Superintendent, FOM or PM
General Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
- All employees are responsible for the general upkeep of work and shared spaces
- Punctual and regular attendance is required of all employees
We're Seeking Individuals Who Have
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to handle intricate project details and documentation with precision and accuracy.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities under deadlines
- Strong self-starter capable of working independently
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong computer skills, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) and willingness to learn construction management programs
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
- 2+ years field experience in field supervision or a related role
- Valid Driver's License
- Forklift Certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- OSHA 10 Certification
- SWPPP certification, if required by location
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

- This position requires the ability to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day and have the capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging, carrying materials, and operating equipment for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity is required for this position and proficiency in using hand tools and power tools with precision and accuracy. This individual is required to have the ability to handle and manipulate construction materials, including bending, gripping, and operating machinery controls.
- This position requires the use of ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, therefore this individual needs to have balance and coordination to navigate uneven or elevated surfaces.
- Ability to work in incremental weather patterns.
