Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities. This role is essential in supporting patients in our outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, and demonstrate a commitment to patient care.

Duties

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, focusing on the specific needs of each patient.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Utilize knowledge of medical imaging and occupational health to inform treatment approaches.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.

Experience

  • Strong background in patient care, with an emphasis on working with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential for effective communication and treatment planning.
  • Experience in developing and executing care plans that address the unique needs of patients across various stages of recovery.
