Security Officer in the Store

Emish Market, located in Fife, WA, is a Ukrainian grocery store offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. We also feature a full-service caf, bakery, and meat department, serving freshly made Ukrainian dishes, sweet pastries, and specialty meats, providing a unique shopping experience for our customers.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, preventing theft, and minimizing losses. If you're proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining a secure environment, we invite you to apply.
Work Hours: 40 hours weekly, 1:30 pm to 12:30 am Thursday through Saturday
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveillance to detect and apprehend individuals committing theft or fraud.
- Monitor CCTV systems to identify suspicious behavior.
- Write detailed reports on incidents and investigations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage.
- Manage conflicts and de-escalate situations effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques.
- Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills.
- Certification in Loss Prevention or Criminal Investigation is a plus.
- Guard Card certification is preferred.
