Candidates must have excellent patient relations, strong attention to detail, the ability to follow directives from multiple levels of staff, assume responsibility for assignments, and perform the essential duties of the position.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare charts for medical appointments.
  • Room patients in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and record vital signs (weight, manual blood pressure, and heart rate) and medical history in the EMR.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Accurately record patients' medications.
  • Obtain medical records from outside healthcare facilities.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist providers with procedures and patient care.
  • Work directly with nurses and providers.
  • Maintain patient information using EMR software.
  • Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
  • A current CMA certificate with experience in a hospital or clinical setting OR 8–12 consecutive months of medical assistant experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in eClinicalWorks and Meditech (preferred).
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple providers, nurses, and team members.
  • Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and appropriate clinical pharmacology protocols within the MA scope of practice.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Position Details: This is a full-time, hourly position with great benefits.

Clinic Hours:
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
     Occasional overtime may be required, but it is rare. No nights, weekends, or on-call.

Salary: Starting at $15.00 per hour / based on experience and position placement.

Experience:
  • Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required)
  • eClinicalWorks: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
  • CMA or CCMA (Preferred)
