Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and assess overall ocular health
  • Diagnose and manage conditions such as glaucoma, AMD, and diabetic retinopathy
  • Co-manage surgical cases including cataract, LASIK, and other procedures
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and provide patient education on vision care
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR)
  • Travel to affiliated nearby clinics as needed

Qualifications

  • Completed an accredited Doctor of Optometry (OD) program
  • Licensed in Illinois or in the process of meeting state licensure requirements
  • Solid foundation in evidence-based clinical practice and diagnostic acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy and individualized care
  • Willing and able to adapt to varying clinical environments across partner facilities

Preferred Experience

  • Background in surgical co-management
  • Familiarity with EHR platforms
