About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Long/Short Equity Analyst to join a boutique investment team focused on software and the broader TMT sectors. This is a hands-on role where you'll own coverage, contribute directly to investment decisions, and have the potential to carve out your own areas of responsibility over time. The team employs flexible strategies, including options, to generate alpha, giving you exposure to both traditional and derivative-based investing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies, analyzing business models, growth drivers, competitive positioning, and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate long and short investment opportunities.
  • Take ownership of specific coverage areas with the ability to develop your own ideas and potential carve-outs within the portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with senior investment professionals to develop trade ideas, monitor positions, and prepare investment materials.
  • Engage directly with the full investment process, from sourcing ideas to execution and monitoring.
  • Present research insights and investment recommendations to the team, influencing real portfolio decisions.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of
    current
    buyside experience, with previous experience in equity research or investment banking, ideally covering software or TMT.
  • Familiarity with derivatives (especially options) and their application in equity portfolios is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a small, fast-paced, collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information for decision-making.
