Compensation: $35.00 – $55.00 per hour

What You'll Do

As a Mental Health Therapist, you'll provide high-impact services to residents who need you most. Your expertise will guide them through emotional transitions, trauma, and the unique challenges of aging and facility life.

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy customized to residents' needs
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, cognitive screenings, and evaluations
  • Design and implement behavioral health strategies, including pain and grief management
  • Support adjustment to facility life, addressing isolation, loss, and trauma
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Offer training for staff on mental health best practices and behavioral approaches
  • Ensure care aligns with regulatory standards and emphasizes non-pharmacological interventions

What You Bring

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Active Ohio license: LPC or LPCC
  • Passion for working with elderly and subacute populations
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit

  • Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environments

  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's, and behavior management
  • Willingness to travel between facilities (mileage reimbursed)
