Summary

  • Transport, both loaded and empty, containers to and from the Port of Houston.
  • Assist the Drayage Supervisor with operational needs
  • Lead a shift with a minimum of 10 drivers

Qualifications And Experience

  • At least 3 years of verifiable experience as truck driver or graduation from an approved driving training program.
  • Must have Commercial Driving License (CDL A) for Heavy Vehicles.
  • Must be TWIC certified,
  • Ideally, experience with drayage in the Houston area.
  • Only safe drivers with excellent MVR & PSP scores will be considered

Job Tasks

  • Drayage of full and empty containers between the Plant, Port of Houston, local warehouses, and/or Rail Terminals.
  • Collection and return of container chassis.
  • Collection and return of containers from depots
  • Secure the container on the chassis
  • Install container chassis supports where required.
  • Monitor and report on operational activities for the team to which you are assigned.
  • Daily check of the truck as per the checklist provided.
  • Check of Container Chassis as per the checklist provided.
  • Assist with other jobs as necessary.
