Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Bilingual Sales Representative to join our retail team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sales, possess excellent communication skills, and can effectively serve a diverse customer base. The Bilingual Sales Representative will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience by providing exceptional service, demonstrating products, and driving sales growth. Candidates should have experience with retail sales environments, including cashiering, merchandising, and upselling techniques. Fluency in both English and another language is essential to connect with our diverse clientele and expand our reach. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, communication skills, and product knowledge are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in both English and the second language
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
  • Assist with merchandising tasks including stocking shelves and organizing displays to optimize sales opportunities
  • Handle cashiering duties such as POS transactions, cash handling, and basic retail math calculations
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
  • Maintain proper stock levels and ensure the store is clean, organized, and inviting
  • Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or via other channels

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish) is required
  • Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred
  • Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math principles
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence
  • Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, stocking, and cash handling preferred
  • Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Basic math skills necessary for transactions and inventory management
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage customers professionally
