Position Summary:

The Entry Level Upfit Technician will work under the direction of the shop supervisor to assemble, install, and maintain a variety of aftermarket equipment and accessories on commercial trucks and vans — including plows, lighting, shelving, and other specialty components. This position offers hands-on technical experience, on-the-job training, and opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Mount hitches, shelves, toolboxes, and ladder racks

· Install cab protectors, strobe lights, and back-up cameras

· Assemble and install snow removal equipment, including plows and spreaders

· Install and wire 12V electrical systems and accessories

· Perform light fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly as required

· Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace

· Deliver quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Basic mechanical knowledge: experience in a relevant field (automotive, welding, 12v electrical, hydraulics) preferred.

· Ability to operate hand and power tools (must also possess a basic hand tool set).

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Commitment to producing high-quality work and learning new skills.

Preferred Skills:

· Electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

· Assembly and installation.

· Automotive repair.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
