About the Role:

Our Compliance team ensures the laws, regulations, and ethical standards of the financial industry are adhered to. This experience offers exposure to the Compliance, Legal and business world and meaningful work experience.  Our student associates are valuable team members while they learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Location, Availability and Hours:

The role will be in-person, and located in our midtown office.  Student Workers must be able to work part-time during the school year, ranging between 15-20 hours per week.  We are looking for students that are available to start immediately.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Research and write short updates on relevant laws and regulations.

  • Assist on AML projects, including preliminary investigation on potential watch list matches using tools such as Google, database, and court records.

  • Gather information regarding client activity that may be suspicious and escalate to team for analysis.

  • Assist with coordinating the institutional branch review process.

  • Create various Excel spreadsheets and presentation training materials.

  • Perform special projects and other duties, as assigned

What You'll Bring to Strategas:

  • Attendance at a local university or college with a graduation date of May 2026 or later

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice/law studies, finance or related area with a proven track record of academic excellence

  • Excellent attention to detail and superior organizational skills

  • Strong oral and written communication abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate of $18/hour
