About the role
We're looking for a detail‑oriented IT Desktop Specialist who takes ownership, follows through, and delivers an exceptional end‑user experience. You'll provide a mix of remote and hands‑on support across multiple client organizations, helping people stay productive while upholding high standards of security and professionalism.
What you'll do
- Onboard and support end‑user devices
: Configure and maintain laptops, desktops, and peripherals; ensure smooth setup for new hires and device refreshes. - Keep systems current
: Install and update operating systems, drivers, and approved applications; manage patching and compliance. - Resolve issues with urgency and care
: Troubleshoot hardware/software problems; repair Windows user profiles; minimize downtime with clear, timely updates to users. - Own documentation
: Create, maintain, and follow accurate how‑tos, runbooks, and asset records to support team efficiency and continuity. - Support office equipment
: Provide hands‑on help for printers, monitors, docking stations, and other office IT gear. - Empower users on Microsoft 365
: Deliver support and light training for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. - Collaborate and improve
: Work with team members to implement best practices, strengthen security posture, and refine processes. - Harden identity & access
: Implement and manage MFA and other security controls - Administer AD
: assist with user and attribute administration in
Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
. - Stay current
: Track new Microsoft 365 features and patches, evaluate and deploy.
What you'll bring
- 1+ years in IT support (desktop support, help desk, or field technician).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with
Windows 11
deployment/support. - Clear, professional communication and a customer‑first mindset.
- Proven
follow‑through
: excellent organization, task ownership, and consistent updates until resolution. - Proficiency with
Active Directory / Entra ID user administration
. - Proficiency with
Microsoft 365
(Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive) and endpoint management concepts. - Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting).
Nice to have
- Certifications such as
Microsoft 365 Certified (Fundamentals/Endpoint Administrator/Enterprise Administrator Expert)

CompTIA A+ / Network+
, or
ITIL 4 Foundation
. - Experience with
endpoint management
tools (e.g., Intune/Autopilot, SCCM) and
Azure
administration. - Familiarity with
macOS
and
iOS
device support. - Exposure to MSP tools/processes (ticketing, SLAs, RMM/PSA).
