Barista Cashier

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your role will be essential in creating memorable experiences for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages with precision and care.
• Operate the POS system efficiently to process transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and handling.
• Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies and placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring smooth operations during peak hours.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Experience

• Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with food service practices, including food preparation and handling techniques.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
• Experience using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
