Solid LLC, is a Carpentry Subcontracting firm that has been in business for over 50 years. We do custom stick-built carpentry framing and finishing of larger, custom houses and smaller commercial buildings throughout the twin city area.

The majority of our business however, is remodeling. We do about 650 remodel jobs a year, anything from a small deck to tearing off a roof, adding another story to the house and putting the roof back on.

We have about 50 carpenters on payroll. All of the jobs are in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area. If you live outside the seven county metro area you may need to relocate.

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager/Estimator who will help run the larger remodel jobs. All we do is frame and finish/trim. We only touch wood.

Estimator duties are:

*Go over plans and specs or the construction project.

*Estimate the time involved framing or trimming the project

*Meet the GC or job superintendent at the site for the initial walk through

*Using the software provided create an estimate

*Present the estimate to the builder and prepare to close on the project

*This job requires you to be in the office.

Project duties are:

· You will be assigned multiple projects. At Project start, you may have a pre-construction meeting with the General Contractor to get the plans, go over the project, make sure materials are on the ground and the overall project site is ready.

Ability to read and understand structural framing prints/plans/specs a MUST

· Monitor the Work on the project as needed, sometimes stopping by every day or other day to ensure timeliness, quality of work and that the work is on schedule.

· Monitor and write change orders and back charges for work on the project.

· Perform final walkthrough when project is completed to create punch-list for the crew.

· Attend weekly progress meeting with the company estimators, PMs and production managers.

· Attend training sessions/meetings as required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Project Manager and Estimator requirements:

*At least eight to ten years of residential remodeling framing experience.

*Familiar with software/computers.

*Be able to pass a background check and drug test.

* Have a valid driver's license.
