Position Overview:

i3 Academy is seeking an innovative and motivated Business Software Applications & Web Development Teacher to join our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. This unique position combines instruction in both business technology and web development, equipping students with essential digital, technical, and professional skills for success in college, career, and entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, experienced with business software and web technologies, and eager to inspire students through hands-on, project-based learning experiences.

Business Software Applications Teacher

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons on Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Design instructional materials such as guides, manuals, and digital resources.
  • Assess student learning through projects, exams, and assignments, providing timely feedback.
  • Manage classroom engagement and maintain accurate attendance and grading records.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and individualized guidance to students.
  • Stay current with software updates and business technology trends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or higher in Business, Finance, or a related field AND
    • 3,600 hours of relevant industry experience, or
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Expert Certification (2019 or higher), or
  • Military experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and data management applications.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
  • Previous teaching or training experience preferred (high school or college level).

Web Development Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach courses covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React or
  • Lead engaging, hands-on coding lessons and project-based learning experiences.
  • Provide mentorship and individualized support to students as they build real-world web applications.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, code reviews, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to update curriculum based on current industry standards.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proficiency with front-end and back-end web development tools and languages.
  • Teaching or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex coding concepts.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current in web technologies.
