Oral Surgery Assistant

Schedule: Full time (8:00 to 4:30)

Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. No experience is required — we are willing to train the right person, but dental office experience is preferred. A charismatic personality, compassion for patients, and a strong desire to learn are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in the oral surgery or dental field.

Qualifications – Oral Surgery Assistant

Required:

  • Compassionate, patient-focused personality with strong chairside manner and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, use computers, and maintain high attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and grow, and ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies
  • CPR and X-Ray certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECK IF OFFERED THE POSITION
  • DAANCE certification required within 12 months

Preferred:

  • Surgical tech experience
  • Dental assistant certification
  • Medical/dental background

Responsibilities – Oral Surgery Assistant

  • Assist oral surgeons during procedures, including suctioning, instrument handoff, and monitoring vital signs
  • Prepare the operatory and set up surgical trays
  • Support patients during pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Take impressions, intraoral scans, and X-rays
  • Sterilize instruments, maintain equipment, and perform post-procedure clean-up
  • Make post-op follow-up calls
  • Assist with YOMI robot
  • Attend staff trainings and education sessions

About Oral Surgery Specialists of Oklahoma

We are a four surgeon, two location, oral and periodontal surgery practice providing exceptional outpatient care to Oklahoma City and surrounding area patients since 2006.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
