What you'll achieve

As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer's business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Responsible for IHV Software/Driver/FW management for assigned projects
  • Able to develop tools for factory usage.
  • Prepare, review and evaluate software specifications for products and systems
  • Working with external, cross-functional, and internal teams (including systems and test engineers and product support) to deliver end-to-end solutions

Essential Requirements

  • Good knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities
  • Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications
  • Experience with multiple programming languages, databases, operating systems, tools and hardware platforms
  • Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
  • Knowledgeable in Windows security features across x86/Arm Based SoC

Desirable Requirements

  • 6 to 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 6 years' Python programming experience, with additional knowledge in security and TPM

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $170k - $220k.
