Job Summary

Precision Laser & MFG is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and repairing automotive racking using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical systems to ensure high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding processes to fabricate and repair metal parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Use calipers and basic math skills to measure materials accurately for precise fabrication.
  • Assist in machining, assembly, and installation of components within manufacturing settings.
  • Conduct quality inspections on welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MIG welding and general welding techniques.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and use of hand tools or power tools.
  • Familiarity with machining processes including use of calipers and basic math calculations for measurements.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately for fabrication tasks.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures related to welding environments.
