Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that the store meets its sales goals while maintaining a high standard of merchandising and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Manage all aspects of store operations including inventory management, cash handling, and bookkeeping.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff through effective employee orientation and ongoing training programs.
  • Oversee scheduling and shift management to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Conduct interviews and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and drive sales.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and manage purchasing processes.
  • Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding pricing and promotions.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Proficient in POS systems, cash handling, payroll processing, and administrative tasks.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices including stock control and merchandising techniques.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities.
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally while providing exceptional service.
