The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.:

You will:

  • Under the supervision of a Occupational Therapist, is at all times responsible to follow all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care
  • Follow the treatment set only as defined by the Occupational Therapist; to perform only those procedures that the COTA is qualified and trained to perform
  • Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

You currently::

  • Associate's Degree form an accredited program.
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification/License.
  • Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly courteous.
  • A moderate degree of physical strength is needed because of the exertion required to assist patients.
  • Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
