Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sensory Technician. This role involves preparing product samples and solutions for sensory testing, setting up testing environments, and conducting sensory panels. You will be involved in data management and lab maintenance while collaborating with various teams to support product research and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Prepare product samples, solutions, and reference materials for sensory testing according to specific protocols.
- Set up testing environments and assist with conducting sensory panels to evaluate attributes like taste, smell, texture, and appearance.
- Accurately record panelist responses and perform basic data entry and analysis using specified software.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, organize supplies, manage inventory, and ensure all equipment is in working order.
- Collaborate with sensory scientists, product development teams, and quality assurance teams to support product research and quality control.
Essential Skills
- Degree in food science with courses or internships in sensory studies.
- Experience with food safety and lab documentation.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment and software for data entry and analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain lab cleanliness.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Open-minded and collaborative approach.
- Experience in food chemistry or general chemistry.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment
Work in a clean, up-to-date facility that fosters interaction among team members. The facility includes a large kitchen, break room, and a botanical garden. The first shift runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $ $29.00/hr.
