We are currently seeking a School-based Clinical Counselor to provide individual, family, and group counseling services to students/families at MaST III Community Charter School. The Clinical Counselor will also provide consultation and resource management as appropriate. This is a Full-time, twelve-month position.

  • Minimum starting salary for unlicensed Counselor - $51,432
  • Minimum starting salary for licensed Counselor - $57,862 (Salary is commensurate with experience level)

In addition, as a School-based Clinical Counselor your duties will include:

  • Provide individual and family counseling to students enrolled at MaST III Community Charter School.
  • Facilitate counseling and psychoeducational groups in school setting regarding identified topics including but not limited to: social skills, anger management, grief, and coping skills.
  • Assess level of service need, facilitate appropriate referrals for students as needed, and develop individualized service plans; advocate with and for students for access to appropriate level of care placements and other agency support services as indicated.
  • Collaborate and consult with school personnel regarding identification of eligible students as well as engage in ongoing consultation regarding student progress.
  • Provide additional supports to students/families; identify and connect students to resources and supports in their communities; maintain an awareness of community resources and facilitate student/family access to appropriate resources and services.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with school leadership team including social workers, counselors, and administration.
  • Participate in regular team consultations with CORA and school staff as indicated to provide service updates and collaborative planning.
  • Adhere to Agency and regulatory entity guidelines concerning caseload requirements, service delivery, accountability, supervision and confidentiality.
  • Participate in all necessary interdisciplinary functions and meetings.
  • Generate/prepare all required clinical reports and document all student related service activities in agency EHR database in a timely fashion.
  • Adhere to training requirements established by Agency or other regulatory entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor/Director, as needed.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's level degree in one of the helping professions (Counseling, Social Work)
  • Education or experience in family systems intervention/service essential

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Documented experience in individual/family counseling services required
  • Experience with children, adolescents, and group work preferred
  • Experience in school setting preferred
