Pay Rate: $43/hr on C2C / 1099 (All Inclusive) or $40/hr on W2

  • Hybrid position: Onsite 3 days per week is required.

Job Description

We are seeking an IT Product and Financial Analyst to provide critical financial insights and analytical support for IT security products and services within the agency.

The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing resource allocation, enhancing program effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with federal budgeting and reporting standards. This position requires strong financial analysis skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a solid understanding of how financial planning supports technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting for IT security products and services.
  • Develop and maintain budgeting models to support funding requests, cost tracking, and financial execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Security, Procurement, and Compliance to align financial strategies with agency goals.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against approved budgets, identifying risks, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support procurement and contract negotiations by providing financial insight and recommendations.
  • Perform life cycle cost analyses and evaluate cost-benefit scenarios for new technology and security initiatives.
  • Assess the financial viability of proposed security products or system enhancements.
  • Prepare clear, concise financial reports, dashboards, and briefings for senior leadership and oversight committees.
  • Support continuous improvement of financial processes and systems related to program funding and expenditure tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Required).
  • 2+ years of experience in financial modeling, budgeting, cost analysis, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a collaborative team environment.

Highly Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with State Government budgeting processes.
  • General understanding of technologies as they relate to product and cost analysis, especially in IT security.
  • Experience with financial management systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
