Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health administrator to join our team. In this vital role, you will work with the staff and patients to provide support and assistance in their mental health treatment. Your contributions will help create a safe and therapeutic environment that promotes recovery and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health issues and demonstrate a commitment to patient care.

Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized assesment for patients, ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Monitor behavior and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, including art therapy, to encourage self-expression and healing.
  • Helping patients understand their medications and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Engage in training staff to promote inclusivity and understanding among staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, progress, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies and train the staff.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff by adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Experience:

At least two years of experience in the following areas:

  • Provision or supervision of mental health services
  • Program management skills: overseeing staffing, ensuring resident safety, and maintaining compliance with licensing standards
  • Knowledge and use of trauma-informed care, person-centered planning, and relevant administrative rules and policies

Other Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a mental health setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with staff and patients.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and patience.
