Job Description

We're looking to hire tutors to work in-person at our Chester Springs Learning Center. If you excel academically, have strong communication skills, and experience working with children, are patient and committed to motivating students to succeed, and live or work close to Chester Springs, we would love to meet you

Tutor Compensation:

Elementary Rate: $26/hr

pay differential based on age/school level of child, certification, education, experience and needs of the student. We are looking for certified teachers and those with teaching experience. Teachers who can bring learning alive through creative projects.

Please Note: Hourly rate is for the tutoring session only. You are expected to be prepared for the session ahead of time.

Teacher Description: We are looking for teachers that can cover various subjects.

* Must be strong in reading, math and study skills. We need tutors for language arts, mathematics and other subjects. For the math subjects, comfort with math up to the upper elementary level.

* Flexible hours -- We need tutors to be able to work potentially 4-6 hours per week. After school times are highly valued, though there is also weekend availability. Successful tutors will receive additional opportunities, bonuses, and increased compensation.

· Most tutoring takes place at our bricks-and-mortar location. Our learning center is a welcoming established environment staffed with supportive managers and fellow tutors.

Requirements:

· Strength in teaching, study skills; excellent work ethic; dependability; passion to motivate children to succeed

· Strong references

· Reliable transportation

· Certified

· Tutor must live within reasonable commuting distance to Chester Springs/Exton

· Agree to contract with BLC until at least the end of the school year
