JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Closing/Opening Shift Lead

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Status: Full Time (Part-Time Available Depending on Elligibility)

Position Reports To: Store Manager

Essential Job Functions:

The shift leader supports daily restaurant operations by supervising team members, maintaining service quality standards, and ensuring a positive guest experience. This role helps manage workflow during assigned shifts and acts as the point of contact for both staff and customers.

● Manage the daily operations of the restaurant; make efficient and appropriate decisions

● Oversee the productivity of team members

●Assist with opening or closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory checks

● Handle customer requests and complaints in compliance with our standards of customer service

● Be cognizant of income versus expense and strive to make the restaurant profitable.

● Ensure high standards of food production is maintained.

● Direct the preparation consistent, high quality food.

● Preparation of food while adhering to food handling safety guidelines; ensure all employees follow the same guidelines.

● Prepare a variety of foods, according to customers' orders or manager's instructions, following approved procedures.

● Maintain the restaurant's professional and pristine image.

● Share customer suggestions and complaints with Management.

● Attend and participate in team meetings.

● Ensure uniforms and aprons are pristine in appearance.

● As needed, participate in general restaurant roles such as waitress, cashier, dishwasher and busser and general restaurant duties such as assist clients, take orders and deliver food to the customer's tables.

Essential Requirements:

● Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Hotel or Restaurant management, from an accredited college or university.

● 1 - 2 years leadership or management experience.

● Working knowledge and proficiency in food planning, preparation and purchasing, sanitation and security.

● Ability to follow and make recommendations to policies and procedures.

● Proven customer service skills.

● Fluent in English.

● Strong and continuously demonstrated work ethic.

● Submission of satisfactory proof of your identity and your legal authorization to work in the United States

● Acceptable background check.

● Ability to attain a Food Safety Certificate.

Essential Physical Requirements:

Essential Physical Requirements include, but are not limited to those listed below and may be modified at any time by the Company's President or Vice President:

● Walk and stand during entire shift.

● Lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware and other utensils, weighing up to 30 lbs., multiple times per shift.

● Lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 150 lbs., with assistance, up to two times per shift.

● Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting.

● Work in a hot environment.

● Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.

● Frequent washing of hands.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
