Job Summary
The Dealer Solutions Engineer - CRM is a pivotal role, responsible for orchestrating the sales lifecycle from initial engagement to successful deal closure. This individual is charged with understanding prospective customers' business challenges and objectives, subsequently crafting and presenting value-driven solutions to drive significant revenue growth and market expansion.
The candidate will have an in-depth understanding of automotive CRM applications, capabilities, workflows, and integration requirements needed and how these systems help dealers execute their business processes.
This role will carry defined sales targets and will be directly accountable for achieving revenue goals within the assigned territory by proactively driving product adoption and closing sales opportunities.
This is a field-based position and will require extensive travel covering the EAST Coast Market Area.
Target candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of a major metropolitan airport.
Essential Functions
- Partner with team members to identify dealer challenges and opportunities by providing subject matter expertise, conducting demos and providing comprehensive guidance to accelerate sales cycles and secure commitments.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase key features and functionalities and address customer questions and concerns.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of product and competitor offerings, research industry trends to stay current on emerging technologies and dealer needs and recommend enhancements to improve product offering.
- Regularly review product/platform performance to identify trends, anomalies or issues and proactively communicate to the field team and other stakeholders on a consistent basis.
- Create and deliver presentations to key stakeholders communicating product performance and dealer feedback.
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote our products or services.
- Give active feedback and insights from the market to the product, product development and marketing teams.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to forecast sales pipeline, report on sales progress and adjust strategies to meet sales goals.
- Track and manage individual territory sales metrics, providing timely updates to management.
- Act as primary sales contact for assigned customers, maintaining regular interaction to expand business of assigned products.
- Leverage CRM comprehensively to document sales activities, opportunities, and manage customer communications.

Experience
- Digital marketing (5+ years).
- Experience with CRM systems and recording sales activity.
- Financial management experience (i.e., revenue goals vs, actuals).
- Pre-sales support or sales experience in an automotive-related environment (7+ years).
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies within a territory.

- In-depth background with CRM applications in an automotive retail environment.
- Strong skills in pipeline management and closing sales.
- Target-driven with a proven track record of meeting sales quotas and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to influence and persuade customers to make purchasing decisions aligned with company objectives.
- Understand and articulate how FordDirect's integrations add value to a dealer's operations.
- Ability to derive insights from recommendations based on dealer budgets and ROI.
- Knowledge of trends, technologies, and competitive intelligence related to assigned product area of expertise.
- Proactively problem-solve and multitask while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Follow-through mindset to uphold a 'close the loop' culture.
- A positive approach to serving customers and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, high ethics, and project a professional image.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Technology, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
Benefits and Pay: Base Salary is $85k + commission. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set (e.g., if an applicant far exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications for the role). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits like pet insurance and legal services, and Summer ½ Days on Fridays.
